You'll probably learn a lot , so go for it.

It took me a couple of years to learn where the birds and gators live, time of day and season. It changes over time also so you'll need to stay aware of where they move too.

If it's a walking trail or road the animals are used to people and cars. If walking you'll have to be quick and if you can find a tree or bush, you can 'Blend in' with it. I use my  SUV a lot, shoot out the window and capture a lot of the wading birds and Gators. As others have mentioned it takes practice, Good Luck.
