There seem to be two black enhancements available. The carbon black is available with max quality. However you can also check a box with the middle 'high quality' setting for 'black enhance overcoat.' Is anyone clear what the difference between these two really is, and has anyone tried them out?

I did try a couple prints with and without the 'black enhance overcoat.' It seemed to help a landscape, but when I used it on close-up of a white and purple iris, the shadows on the white part of the flower looked unnaturally dark, almost smudged or something. I liked the iris better without the 'overcoat,' so it doesn't seem to be something you want to use selectively, rather than turning on for every print. However, these are initial impressions. I've had my p900 less than a week.

Meant to say overcoat DOES seem to be something you want to use selectively.
