Re: Trade my Canon 6dii for Canon M6ii?

I doubt that many full frame users are doing so out of vanity. But I agree that the images produced by the current range of digital cameras are so good that one can pick based on features that are thought useful.

There are of course other considerations. My favorite lens and 2nd most used is my 100-400 L II. Its a beast at 3.5 lbs but I've found no other lens that is as useful in as many situations. It (and the original 100-400) have given me the greatest number of keepers 2nd only to my 24-105L. The lens takes great images with the M6II but if I'm going to be actively using it all day for days on end, e.g. wildlife travel, the lens handles much better on a camera the size of an 80D (now 90D) or 5D. The lens yields particularly stunning animal portraits on full frame.

This is all personal preference. I've always thought the big whites too costly and heavy for me. The 55-250 is an easy carry but don't quite cut it for reach.  But the 100-400 has been my fantasy lens since I first saw it in the '90s.
