WARNING - the UV is dangerous - like a Sunlamp

The UV acts like a sunlamp and can cause skin and eye irritation or damage.  Some sunlamps use Mercury and have strong emission at around 260 nm.

Once I did not understand and worked in front of a Mercury lamp thinking that if I did not look at the bulb I would be OK.  Not so.   That night I woke up and my eyes felt as if sandpaper had been applied to them.

Read up on safety issues for UV.
