That does sound a bit odd, assuming this is a wired remote that plugs into the camera.

If that is the case then try using the remote without any batteries, that will ensure that the intervalometer side of it isn't interfering or that you have it set up incorrectly.

It may help if you could let us know the model number of the remote control.

Hi Ray,

The intervalometer is wired and the model is Neewer URS-7000. At the time it was so repeatable that I thought I had to buy a new intervalometer.

I the intervalometer successfully works on an OMD10 MkII so I don't think it's that.

This occurred after charging the battery so I'll removed the battery for a few hours and repeat the test.

The strange action has been intermittent and resembles the wireless remote functioning. It's a second hand camera with 2600 shutter release so shouldn't be worn out.

The other thing I did notice was that after taking some astro pics was that after some 40 pics the camera stared behaving strangely, it took the main 40sec image and then a short one which could have been the delay or anti vibration delay. I didn't investigate much further as I'm new to astro pics and there haven't been many clear, moonless nights over the last few weeks.

I'll try it with the batteries out of the intervalometer after I put the battery back in the camera and see what happens.

Thanks

Andy
