FS: Canon 7D Mark II professionally modded for astrophotography, with accessories

This Canon 7D Mark II camera was modified by Kolari Vision to be sensitive to H-alpha and Sulphur II wavelengths.

It is in excellent condition with no known problems. I am not the original owner. I acquired the camera already-modified on Cloudy Nights. It has about 72,000 shutter actuations (shutter is rated to withstand 200,000 actuations). I am selling to raise funds to buy a dedicated astrophotography camera.

Included with camera:

  • Lexar Professional 64GB 1066x UDMA7 CompactFlash card
  • Neewer EZa-C3 digital intervalometer and remote shutter release
  • LP-E6 battery and extra battery that is an off-brand LP-E6 equivalent. Camera reports good recharge performance for both.
  • LC-E6 battery charger
  • Wide strap
  • USB interface cable
  • Eyecup is included although not shown in photos. Also includes viewfinder cover to prevent light from leaking in via the viewfinder.
  • Original box, documentation and warranty card (camera is out of warranty)

The camera can also be used for terrestrial photography by using custom white balance or adding an IR hot mirror.

The astrophotography sample attached was taken from Bortle Class 5 suburban Pittsburgh.

Seller will cover PayPal fee and Priority Mail shipping within continental U.S.
