Really? So turn one on and they're both on? Why even have a switch on the lens?

With native lenses, you would not want to, and cannot. With adapted lenses, I am not convinced that Metabones' implementation of coordinated stabilization is as good as native, but I'm still evaluating that; they give you the choice of none, one, the other, or both. With some adapters, like the Viltrox III, you can also enable both, and they don't cooperate at all, and the result is worse than no stabilization.
