Newbie switching to Fuji for X-S10..or some other cam.

Hi everybody,
I've been going through this forum in the past weeks, reading the reviews on dpreview, as well as in youtube and other websites. I've also taken a look at all the recent cameras, in hopes I could answer all my questions. But since I couldn't, maybe for lack of experience, I am here, humbly waiting for (un)biased opinions
The marketing is so well done for X-S10 that I am falling in love with it. Keeping in mind where the X-S10 stands within fuji, I studied reviews of X-T4 and X-T3 vs. Sony a6000-a6600 series, I think the X-S10 is quite a bargain at this launch price of 999€... but... still a stretch for my initial budget.
Dont take me wrong, I do understand lenses are more important than the body, and the person holding the system will matter more than the system. But I gotta start somewhere
Some background first, before questions.
Why do I want a new camera?
- I got a panasonic LX7 back in 2012 or 2013. I learned a lot of the basics with it. It was incredible. So small with such a fun lens, features, good quality, RAW, f1.4.
- I sucked all the juice out of it. The learning curve became flat and I lost interest. I got tired from editing RAW, it became even more stressful on my eyes, as I am a software developer.
- gave the camera away to my little brother together with the extra battery, books, and unofficial addons.
So what am I using now, then?
- After getting the samsung S8 a few years ago, my focus shifted to my phone and instagram. (happy to share the link privately). Still used it this week to post on instagram.
What do I want to do with a new camera?
- Landscape, family&friends photos and portraits, nature, and street photography, architecture.
- printing said images into standard and medium sizes to hang on walls or put on photobooks
- not having to worry with SOOC jpeg quality -> sharing it directly from camera to social media/email/chat apps.
- loving the filters in X-T4 samples (also in X-S10)
- learn more about light, photography, art.
- I care little about video, but will always shoot something for fun at family and friends gatherings.
- I care little of how the controls are setup. i will adapt anyway.
- use it in order to get out of the house during the approaching lockdowns.
- experiment with new ideas gotten by reading this forum and other photo blogs: Night shots, long exposures clouds and night skies (maybe one day buying a huge lens to take pictures of mars and aliens passing by)
- taking it for (post-corona) traveling. The grip looks perfect for hiking + quick snapping.
What is photography for me?
- The best way of expression I have experienced yet. I am not artsy, nor hipster.
- I can project the way I see the world and what it makes me feel. #AddSomeSaturationToThatSunsetPlease
- I'm a very visual person and I love details and small queues.
- I have no formal education on photography, so it's really just a hobby. But going to photo museums and exhibits always gets me wanting to be able to achieve such levels of beauty.
- My grandfather had a cool analog camera and took great pictures of me and my family. Maybe a way I connect with him. I actually used his camera some 12 years ago for a black&white photo developing workshop.
I kept his camera after he passed away, tried using it for analog photo but it's heavy, and with the lenses, its so much volume and indiscreet. And the money to develop in shops and time to wait for them... Not my thing.
Wait. Did I say... lenses? Here's what's laying next to me:
- EBC Fujinon-W 35mm F2.8
- Fujinon 55mm F2.2
- X-Kominar-T 135mm f/2.8 DM
- Olympus 1.7x Tele Conversion Lens.
There are also a range of filters for these lenses. And this is why Fuji X-S10 in on top of my list. Questions:
1 - Can I just put these lens on the X-S10? Or do I need to get a M42 adapter? How about the Olympus? And... does IBIS work with these lenses?
2 - I am worried about the weather sealing. I've seen a video of X-T4 going through a storm in Scotland in youtube and surviving without a scratch. Do you think with these old lenses, the X-S10 would be more vulnerable to rain, humidity, sand, dust?
3 - Are there any cameras that would be more suitable for me? (I'm also considering black friday discounts or second hand). I have been looking at other cameras of the X-T series, and Lumix DC-G100, nikon Z5, sony on the expensive side of things.
4- What's your opinion on the Fuji App for android? Word in the street says its still too basic and that panasonic has the best one.
5- the battery seems quite weak. But I do like the usb 3 for charging on the go. Do you think I could find a non-fuji battery more powerful that would fit the X-S10?
6- firmware updates, how often do they happen in Fuji? and comparing to other brands?
Sorry it became such a long thread. Many thanks for reading, cheers!
