Laowa or vintage options

The Laowa 65mm is excellent but it's not cheap.
Otherwise it's near perfect. I choose it over the Fuji 60mm macro because I prefer real manual focus vs slow and noisy autofocus.

However you can find some very good to excellent macro lenses for less than $200.

Vintage macro lenses were among the best from their period and most of them are still excellent today.

50/55/60mm macro are usually limited to 1:2 magnification but you can find some tubes to get 1:1.

90/100/105mm are heavier and more expensive but most of them have 1:1 magnification.

I used:
Nikkor 55mm f/2,8 AIS *****
Pentax A 50mm f/2,8 *****
Sigma 50mm f/2,8 ***
Minolta 50mm f/3,5 ****
Olympus 50mm f/3,5 ***
Nikkor 60mm f/2,8 D ****
7artisans 60mm f/2,8 macro ***
Laowa 60mm f/2,8 macro for DSLR *****

Tamron 90mm f/2,5 ****
Kiron lester A.Dine 105mm f/2,8 *****
Vivitar/Soligor 90mm f/2,8 ***
Vivitar serie 1 90mm f/2,5 *****

You can buy the Tamron 90mm first manual version + Nikkor 55mm f/2,8 for about $250 both. These are pretty interesting because they are excellent without beeing rare but I never had a bad macro lens.
