A manual lens will not allow for AF bracketing

Thanks! Photo's look great.

Did you also consider the Fuji 60mm Macro? And if so what was the reason for going with the Laowa?

1:2 wasn't good enough for me and AF is mostly useless at the macro range anyway.
When I was looking the Laowa just came out and received stellar reviews, also offering 2:1.

It was pretty much a no-brainer at that point. Especially at that form factor.

I agree that AF is not of much use with macro.

You should just be informed that without AF lens, you will not be able to to AF bracketing. See here: Fuji AF bracketing in macro photography - How useful is it? . You need to use a macro rail (which I do all the time - it works just great - see here) or to use MF (i.e., create a series of frames while changing the focus ring a tinly little bit from frame to frame - which I find nearly impossible).

But you were specifically asking for handheld macro, so, I think, focus stacking may not be your target anyway. For handheld macro, I recommend a flash and a self-made diffuser, but ragbasti already said that. Oh, that reminds me that I still wanted to post my diffuser setup...

Cheers,

Martin
