45 megapixel is NOT more than twice as 20 megapixels

Even if it's true, it's a little misleading to say that 45 megapixel has more than twice megapixels than 20 megapixels. (R5 vs R6)

It's just a 33% increase in horizontal resolution. So viewing the same images at 100% zoom from a 45 and 20 megapixels sensor, the 45 megapixel one is not going to zoom twice as much when jumping to 100% magnification.

It's like saying 40°C is twice as hot as 20°C. In reality you should measure with Kelvins.

20°C = 293.15 K

40°C = 313.15 K

As you can see 313.15 is not 2X of 293.15.

TLDR: We need a new unit or way to measure resolution, megapixels are misleading. Cancelled my R5 preorder and ordered the R6 instead.
