In what relevant ways has E-M5 changed Mk I -> Mk II -> Mk III?

My main travel camera has been the E-M5 Mk I for quite some years. I have been pretty happy with it and it has worked very well - even after I once dropped it on a concrete floor from 1 meter!

But I assume that sooner or later I have to replace it with something newer and now with the Olympus bargains and the camera division having been sold, the moment may come soon. I think that the replacement would be a Mk II or Mk III E-M5 because E-M10s feel a bit too basic and on the other hand all the E-M1s a bit too big to my liking. But how has the E-M5 changed from one generation to the nest?
