It's been cloudy with rain this week, but late yesterday afternoon it looked like the sun might break through. So I grabbed my Sigma 14-24mm DG DN on the A7R IV and headed to the reservoir to catch the remaining palette of Autumn:

Today it is pouring again.

Nice to have a window of opportunity. Sharpness is also excellent.

Sunstar with 20 points (5 per quarter) is beautiful and very well placed. The dim lighting fits the overcast sky and brightening up might blow away the sunstar and the natural look of the sky. This is still the best option to keep it natural.

Nature always gives us the best presentation of a landscape and her lighting of the Autumn palette on this one just blew me away. I HAD to capture it. There was a lot of consideration and fine adjustments of both my exposure and composition in the EVF. Thankfully the final image became exactly what my eyes originally perceived. The capabilities of the A7R IV and the Sigma 14-24mm DG DN certainly helped as well.

Thanks for sharing your short trip at the reservoir. Cheers.

Thanks always for your comments.
