I just picked up a z50 and using it as I wait for the z6ii. Coming from a d500 and the Sony A7RIV.
The low light focus acquisition of the z50 is really pretty crappy. It just hunts. Is this typical behavior for the z series?
I’m only using the kit lenses at this point. Anyone have any experience using the z50 for lower light (say outdoor evening sporting events) focus?
Not sure that the 16-50 kit lens is a very good choice for evening sporting events....
Maybe you should get the FTZ adapter and try out the lenses you use on your D500.
I only have a Z50. Can't tell about the others but I would not generalize the behavior of the Z50 with the kit lens to the whole Z series (independently of the lens)....
