Z5 - Sigma 100-400 or Nikon 70-300
1

Just bought my first mirrorless. Z5 and the 24-70 F4. I am just a casual shooter but I always had a Sigma 100-400c on my Canon 80D which I sold. Mostly for casual BIF and my dogs and and wildlife that popped up in my backyard. I am going to buy a Tamron 150-600 G2 next summer but for the next 9 months need something telephoto under 1K. So just wondering if anyone has used a Sigma 100-400 with the Z5 or Z6. Or, would the Nikon 70-300 AF-P FX version be better. Mostly for my dogs and basic not too distant telephoto?

Also, is it a pain to take the adapter off and on constantly with the lens changes? Can I leave the adapter attached to the 70-300 and just attach that as a unit or do I have to do it as a two-step attachment process each time?
