same lens, two DSLR's, different object size, why??

Hi,

I took a picture of one object, with same lens (70-300mm), on D7100 first, and then on D810.  Focal length 300mm for both.  Images recorded as RAW.

Exported and displayed with ViewNX-i,  at 1x image magnification (1:1) for both .

The object in the image taken by D7100 (DX) is 22% larger than that taken by D810 (Full Frame).  Definition of size here is the length of each side of the object if the object is a square.

Why is that?

Could anyone teach me?

Thank you in advance.
