Have two focus points in the same image
1

I use a pair of Nikon D7200 cameras.

If I am taking a photo of a group of people standing in two or three rows, it would be great to focus on someone's face in the front row and then focus on someone in the back row. The camera would then choose the best distance at which to focus at in order to keep both the front and back row in focus. Even better, I could ask the camera what would be the widest aperture I could use to have both focus points in focus but the background have maximum bokeh.

I believe this would be a low-cost feature to build in to today's cameras.

Do others think this would be a good idea? Is there a camera that already does this?
