Long Lens for the M6 ii
3

My M6 mark ii arrived with the kit 18-150 lens. I'm very happy with both the camera and the lens, although it's not nearly long enough for some of the things I shoot. So, I'm trying out the Tamron 18-400. Here are a couple of my first shots with the Tamron. I was shooting in Program mode.

I don't think either image is that great. Since it's a new system, I'm going to give myself a break. But I wonder if the Tamron is the best lens for me. Or would the Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 II be a better lens? I understand the Tamron has more reach at both ends, which is attractive to me. They both weigh the same and are similarly priced. I don't want to go any heavier than these lenses weigh.  Any suggestions or input would be welcome.
