Considering new R6 - Lens Question

I currently shoot with the original 6D.   About a year ago I added the newer 24-70mm 2.8 version 2 -  no IS -  that I currently enjoy.  Primary use is landscapes, travel and general walkaround.

For my use,  what do you think is the better option to pair with the new Canon R6??

1)  24-105 F4 Kit Lens  (and likely sell my 24-70mm 2.8 ii)

2)  Use my existing 24-70mm 2.8 ii with adapter (but unclear if/when a Canon adapter would be available)

My number one priority is IQ.... but lighter weight/size would be extremely desirable .... assuming I wouldn't be giving up too much IQ with the 24-105 kit lens.

Leaning towards option #1 but a bit unsure.

Appreciate the feedback.

Canon EOS 6D Ricoh Caplio R6
