sharpened flower and converted background to B&W

Your illustration, and Member Dak's totally serious treatise, best sums up why myCopy of the R-1 sits as a beautiful paperweight; "legacy", I dare say.

Unless there is a very simple, "select relevant area automatically button" on your post processor, Bill, this took a lot of meticulous work. Thank you for the compliment.

When I found myCopy, it was hanging in a thrift store, operated for a hospice program. I had no idea what digital was about. The price tag read; $400.00 used. The sign outside the facility, which store was crammed with lots and lots of goodies, read "Today; 50% OFF." My one hundredth visit to the store became my best experience (camera experience, mind you.)

It did take some time to do and $400 is what I paid for my 2nd R1. I still have 2 of them

While we extol the virtues of this camera, and while we are looking at this beauty and the fine, fluffy stuff that makes it a flower, I was reminded of how the one feature, which distinguishes this camera, from the other largish sensor cameras, and not mentioned by the essayist, is that it is dust-free. No pollen; no sneezing, no dust mites.

This attachment was accomplished with a different camera.

Our wild cherries had a bug this year.
