X-H1 DIY sensor cleaning - anybody?

I got a shock on the weekend when I put my lens in f16 and shot a totally blue sky.  When I looked on the computer my sensor was filthy.  I always shoot my 16-55 and 90mm F2 wide open - so I have never noticed that they need a clean.  The nearest camera store to me is over 600 kms away (Perth Western Australia), and these dudes charge about $80 per sensor.  So I am facing the postage there, then return postage plus the time my cameras are away plus $160.  That seems a bit steep for just getting my sensors cleaned.

Has anybody successfully done their own?  There are lots of videos on Youtube on how to do it but many have dire warnings that it's not for the faint of heart (particularly X-H1 with IBIS).  Any thoughts?  I don't want to ruin my lovely cameras (I've never attempted it before).  Thanks

Philip
