Those are similar exposures (just 1/3-stop more for the Sony). Yet the ISO setting was 5 × higher (500 versus 100) on the Panasonic than the Sony. Therein lies your problem. Get the ISO down and/or give less exposure to prevent the red channel saturating.

This.  The red channel is clipping, early as compared to the others, because the exposure is too high overall to maintain detail in that channel.  Reduce the overall exposure or try setting the camera's metering to center-weighted or spot, rather than muti-zone, in order to tell the camera "I want the center emphasized, rather than a judgement of the entire frame."
