The Ninja V is a no-brainer if you're shooting long clips.

1TB in XQD cards is ~$300 more than a Ninja V, a 1TB SSD, batteries, cables, etc.

If you shoot in ProRes, editing the footage will be a lot faster/easier as well.

The issue is long-term storage. If you keep files and offload to HDDs, you'll be spending more on those. But you can get 16TB for $250.

I don't know of any other portable recorder offering 10-bit on the Z6. But the camera is outputting an uncompressed image. With a high-end capture card, fast computer and the right software, you have options for 10-bit recording or 4:4:4 color.

Thanks, I'm just shocked that there isn't a cheap knockoff on aliexpress
Hopefully a used ninja V will show up some day for an affordable price.

I hear you on the long-term storage.. the solution is deletion!! (after payment of course)
