Works really great and better, imho, than the theorical methods.

Lens focus distances are often inaccurate and may vary with temperature.  With focus peaking, you really see what is in focus.

I suggest you try it, see what happens when you change the focus distance or when you stop down.

I use thus method mostly for landscape photography to replace the hyperfocal method.
