Buying new camera gear: COVID-19 Edition

With the strong possibility 2021 is going to be rubbish thanks to the COVID-19. What are you thinking of buying so you can continue your photography in these uncertain times.

For example you could be living near a beauty spot and may consider adding Full Frame to your M43 gear or the money saved from not travelling could go towards a lens dedicated to wildlife.

In my situation my photography will be restricted to family portraits and nature. I can’t see myself going skiing early next year but if I do I will take both my 12-60 and 35-100mm.

I’m hoping Panasonic release the G9 successor next year. Since my photography will be mostly wildlife next year, the camera would benefit me a lot despite I haven’t gotten my money worth out of the Gh5. However, if Panasonic release a new wildlife lens like a 300mm f4 or 250mm f4 then I probably buy that lens first and buy the camera later.
