Hands down, yes, at the right price

I've owned both the M5 and M50. Regarding the M50...
A. Resolves the issue of what folks describe as shutter lag, but likely is an exposure metering flaw. Btw, apparently updating to the latest firmware for the M5, fixes this, silently. The M50 outright doesn't share this problem.
B. Autofocus is night and day between the M5 and M50.
My answer is, hands down, at the right price, do it.
As I said 2 years ago, many M5 owners should consider "upgrading" to the M50. Half the folks around here stoned me when I said that, the other half agreed. The difference between those who threw rocks and those who didn't, those who actually tried the M50, that have owned the M5 or M6 mark I which has the older, slower, DIGIC7 vs the newer DIGIC8 in the M50. Makes all the difference my friend.
At the right price, the M50 is a no brainer for upgrading your M5, as long as you're not using all those dials, which if you customize the buttons on the M50, you don't need all the dials. Get a spare battery though.
Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for M50 Mark II deals. The newer firmware, is not to be underestimated. If the M50 goes for $249 refurb, and the M50 Mark II, $349 on sale, do the latter. $100 is worth the newer firmware in my book as that gets you down to -4EV alone + continuous eye-AF.
When I owned the M50, I just had M-FN button assigned to AF method so I quickly toggled between Single Shot and AI-Servo, so I got my eye-AF easily that way. Highly recommended.

M50 eye-AF via switching quickly to single shot, works well.
