R5 and R6 Delay Between Consecutive Exposures Above 1s?

To all,

I'm interested in purchasing one of these cameras; however, the R and Ra are pathetic in their delay penalty of consecutive exposures of more than 1 second.  I like to photograph meteor showers so you want delays between consecutive exposures to be at a minimum.  All Canon DSLRs have about a 1 second delay; however, I have found the following for the EOS R and EOS Ra:

Exposure         Delay    Equivalent FPS

8 sec              2 sec            0.50

15 sec             3 sec            0.33

30 sec             4 sec            0.25

These are ridiculous values for a camera that can do 3-8 frames per second with exposures less than 1 second.

I'm curious if the new R5 and R6 suffer from this delay penalty.  Would someone be willing to test them out and provide the results to this thread?
