I totally agree I. On several occasions, when the sun is low on the sky and shining from the right direction, I've had to use my left hand to shade the viewfinder.

Funny though, as I think I've read somewhere that Canon put som extra attention to improve the eyecup in the R5/R6 compared to earlier R cameras.

I hope Canon, or some other manufacturer, asap puts out a replacement eyecup with improved shading. I will preorder!
