No, no , no. PCIE 4 is simply too new at the moment and and overheats causing the system to slow down automatically so what’s the point? I’m I wrong?

NVMe SSDs can overheat and throttle down no matter if they're Gen.3 or Gen.4. Some uses can benefit from a heatsink, especially the fastest ones.

From what I've seen in tests, differences between Gen.3 and Gen.4 are largely in synthetic benchmarks rather than everyday usage.
