The A6600 captures a Red-tailed Hawk

Went out to scope out a creek that bears go to catch fish during the salmon runs.

There were bears and this red-tail hawk that gave a nice show. After dining on salmon further upstream it came down towards me. The lighting conditions were pretty difficult with dappled sunlight.

It then went down to the water and had a bath. First time I've seen a hawk doing that!

It then left the water coming even closer

It landed even closer but was hidden and so had to reposition myself.

and then it flew even closer

right past me

right up to a tree about 25' away

The bears are another story :/

Overall I am happy with the results under the conditions. I was shooting in H+. Experiencing this action was fantastic and I'd give the earlier shots a c+ on IQ where as the last 2 are an A
