I use radios on my M6ii, but IIRC there isn’t any built-in wireless flash control. You’d have to verify though.

I can't think of a camera that has IIRC built in to it. Even if I knew of one I would think that it would be limited to that manufacturer.
It’d be nice if all you needed was a (surely expensive ) compatible flash or receiver.
I have the M50, actually gave up the Canon 80D and a 7D to my granddaughter when I decided to go small and mirrorless.
Very thoughtful! A great gift indeed.
The M50 is limiting as far as customization but I don't regret the switch one bit.
Me either. The M is so much nicer to carry around.
I was one of those that was hoping the M50 MKII would be more of an upgrade than an update.
I really do feel for you guys. I wanted an M50ii too.
I so wanted to upgrade the M50 but with the disappointment of the M50 MKII upgrade/update I am now considering the M6 MKII.
I really do wish the M6ii’s tech (spec) went through the whole lineup.
Until 2 weeks ago I used the M50 EVF exclusively except when the camera was mounted on a tripod. I'm considering the M6 MKII so I started using the M50 touch screen exclusively in an attempt to see how the M6 MKII would work with my style of shooting. I use on camera flash as well as off camera radio controlled flash frequently. The DC2-EVF is not an insurmountable problem but it is a significant one, at least for me.
Maybe you could take the M50 those times when you’d anticipate needing a flash/radio. Otherwise the (Adorama) Flashpoint Zoom Mini is a great little lightweight flash. Refurbs are often on sale. Also be sure to get a Gary Fong LightBlade (weighs next to nothing, but very effective).
Best of luck,
