Finally we had some rain this week after six months with virtually no drops. The dry season started a few weeks earlier this year, resulting in very dry months.

On the hottest days, temperature reached 42°C (108°F) in the shade while the humidity reached 10%.

The camera survived well, the zoom ring rotates smoothly again. I haven't noticed any kind of damage or dust ingress. The harshness has gone.

Just to illustrate, see below some images of the environment. The coordinates are -21.329° -49.095° (Itajobi, Brazil).

Thank you all for the support.

Nice to see environmental images instead of the usual close ups.

I’ve just traded my mk1 in for a Mark 2 .

Never had any issues with 2 mk1’s I owned ( one was back up and still boxed as new ) .

More environmental images coming soon.

Have a good day.
