R5: Can future firmware upgrades make currently not supported lenses work in H+?

So unfortunately, the R5 doesn't support H+ drive mode for both my tele lenses, the EF 70-200mm 2.8 L USM (Non-IS) and the EF 400mm 2.8 L IS. Since I'm shooting sports, this is a little bit of an issue. 7fps on the mechanical shutter is ok but far from good. I can use the electronic shutter and shoot with 20fps, however I'm missing the clicking feedback. Rolling shutter was not (yet) an issue for me.

Would future firmware upgrades expand the range of H+ supported lenses (not sure if this is a soft- or hardware thing)?
Should I just stick and get used to electronic shutter? Would I be better off upgrading at least the 70-200 2.8?
