L-bracket for mid-range Canon Rebels that actually works?

I was looking for an affordable L-bracket for my T5i (700D), but most generic ones have two major issues - they block the flipout screen rotation, and they block the battery door. Yes, I know there are brands with custom brackets, but the prices are outrageous.

Does anyone use such bracket with a T3i / T4i / T5i / T6i (600D / 650D / 700D / 750D)? All of them have the battery door parallel to the body, which would be blocked by most of the generic brackets. If you use one anyway, what are your experiences? Do you slide the bracket further away, and does it impact handheld shooting this way?

Thanks in advance.
