No need to run; plenty of time
5

Yesterday I had to take photos of a scene that was about 60 feet away from where my camera would be on a tripod. And I would be in the scene.

I was wondering how I was going to accomplish this, seeing as I also had to run down a short flight of steps and run across my back yard. After all, I'm not as spry as I used to be.

But when setting the self-timer on my Nikon Z50, I was surprised to see that I could set the delay for as long as 20 seconds. No other camera I have ever owned -- no matter how expensive -- had that capability.

In addition, the camera offers delays of 2, 5 and 10 seconds as well. I love the 5-sec. setting when using my self timer in lieu of having a cable release. Sometimes 2 seconds is too short and 10 seconds too long.
