Re: Sony FE 50 1.8 vs Samyang 45 1.8 vs Samyang 35 1.8

FWIW newest Samyang (the 35/1.8) does have a weather sealing gasket at the mount, dunno how well sealed it is overall but it does have that in it's favor vs the 18/45/75. I haven't seen too many reviews of it yet but from what I've seen it looks comparable to the 45/1.8 (bokeh might even be a bit cleaner) or Sony's own 35/1.8 (which focuses closer and might have a bit of an AF edge but optically they look close). It also has the same mode switch their 75mm does.

Personally I think the 45mm would pair better with a 28mm, as far as focal lengths go in general, tho depending on what you want or what you're doing even the 75mm might make more sense for you. I like 35mm a lot myself so I got the Sony 35/1.8 a while ago, but I've been eyeing two of those Samyangs anyway. I'll get the 75/1.8 for sure but I've been thinking 28+45 would make for a nice combo that's smaller than all my other options. 28+45 would work better for me for social occasions than 20+35 or xx+75.
