The 17-35mm isn't a crop sensor lens at all !

It's a full frame lens , I regularly use mine on both a full frame Sony a900 and my Minolta film cameras where it does well with Rollei Infrared film .

These are the lenses being discussed here ; http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/Minolta-AF-17-35mm-F2.8-4-D_lens27.html

The Tamron 17-35/2.8-4 is certainly a full frame lens. I've used it quite a bit on my LA-EA4 and on my A900, and a bit on a Dynax 7.

The content of forums on DPR are of a great help. I've just bought a Dynax 7 film camera and an LA-EA4 for my beloved A7, and I am collecting my A mount lenses. My experience today was that Nikon/Canon hybrid (film/mirrorless digital/lenses) is more expensive vs Minolta/Sony. Dynax 7 is an absolutely brilliant film camera, the LA-EA4 work excellently on my A7. I wasn't sure, if this 17-35 D has full frame film/sensor coverage.
