I think the XF10 is a little too simplistic and feels like a cheap toy. Although some poelpe have mentioned that it may have been improved, initially, when I used my friend's who bought it when it came out, the AF was frustratingly bad!

I bought my XF10 late - this April. By then the firmware had been updated and I've had, like many here, no issues focusing whatsoever.

I shoot in Snap Focus, set to two metres, in RAF, only. The only outstanding issue is lens speed. It's not for capturing quick movement.

The image quality is better than the RAF files from my old X70 and my GR, and is equal to my X100F. Just different. It has a Bayer sensor. My X100F files are generally softer.

I bought it as a supplement, not as a replacement for my X100F, because of the 28mm focal length and because the size sets off fewer alarms shooting in crowds.

You can use it as a street camera, but you have to let subjects slowly walk into the frame, in advance, to avoid smearing. 98% hit rate so far.

This is a good example of how the XF10 works for me:
