Film simulation bracketing saves jpgs only, no raw.

I dont find I need raw with the excellent jpegs that this camera produces. Each to their own on this one.

Sure, i agree. But to get these excellent jpgs you have to tune not only FilmSim but all other settings - sharpening, noise reduction, etc. as well. And these settings vary from say chrome to black and white. If you use FilmSim bracketing all other settings stay the same for all three jpgs. You simply don't get what the camera is capable of and thats a pity.

I get that, that's why I dont use bracketing all the time. When I do, I generally alter colour, sharpness etc. Whilst this applies to all 3, it works for how I like the pictures. My main setting will always be manual mode with which ever film simulation suits the scene. However, sometimes I like to use simulation bracketing to decide if the scene looks better in, say, provia, classic chrome or b&w. I will than switch to just one simulation and tweak from there. Or use this as a quick reference of which simulation looks better for a later date or proper shoot. I hope that makes sense.
