In another thread someone lamented that there was no smaller version of the G9. The G95/G90/G91 is smaller/lighter and doesn't seem to give up too much. I see that at Amazon the G9 is $997.99 and the G95 + 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 is also $997.99.

I don't recall seeing any posts here from anyone using the G95/G90/G91. Just from a quick look at specs compared to the very nice G9 and fast perusal of the review here it isn't clear why no one likes it.

I don’t have the camera, and I can tell you why. And it’s one way it significantly differs from the G9:

The interest I would have in such a camera would be to dabble in video with a little more enthusiasm. But the G90 has a heavy crop when shooting 4K video. That is restrictive because the picture quality suffers, since frames come from a fraction of the frame area (so more noise, less dynamic range, and less detail), but also because it changes the angle of view of my lenses, breaking my already marginal wide-angle options.

You need to go to a G9 or GH5 to get rid of the 4K crop.

This is why, if you want high performance m43 body that is somewhat small, EM5III is the only real option.
