The 600mm F4 GM OSS prime was released alongside the 200-600 G OSS last year. Sony offered two 500mm primes for A-mount a rebranded Minolta AF F8 mirror and the 500mm F4 G SSM from 2012. The later is the exact same price as the 600mm F4 GM OSS.
