There's still a good news : the spec sheet upgrade being conservative to say the least, we could see M50 mkII with more direct controls (at least 2 dials).
The Mark 1 was "downgraded" with less direct controls, all the rest being equal or better than M5/M6.

Now that the M6 Mark II have a clear hardware edge, no more use to cripple the M50 mkII with less buttons.

That was the weakest point of the M50 imho (that and the small battery).

Yes, but a spare battery cures that.

The M50 is an excellent buy, and if the M50 Mark II maintains the same pricing, this is a duh for a prospective first time ILC owner. The M50 is still the deal of the century, this improves it.

The M6 Mark II however has 4K full width output, and the ISO and DR improvements are significant, as is the 14FPS burst performance and UHS-II support. I have zero complaints about the M6 Mark II, in my book, it's perfect.

Now the system itself (EF-M), lacks a high quality standard zoom lens. Sigma's prime trio covers the rest really.
