The x70 being one’s favorite is something that I have read quite a few times....Dang it...I really am torn between the Xf10 and x70

x70

pros

tilt screen

better build

xtrans ii ( not sure if better or not)

can save more presets

cons:

older sensor

less quality iq ( from what I’ve read)

xf10

pros

smaller lighter

a tad cheaper

newer sensor 24mp

better quality iq (from what I’ve read)

cons:

cheaper build quality

af is worse than x70 ( though is supposedly fixed now)

no tilt screen ( though never really use tilt screen up until now)

Can only save 1 preset

It all depends on your style of shooting, and how you'll use the images. The lens is the same on both cameras but the X70 is better with movement. There's no smearing.

That's what John Gellings was criticising. But if you shoot landscape and portraits, and print, the better IQ and 24-megapixel Bayer sensor of the XF10 make an enormous difference.

If you can stomach going a size larger, get the X100T you mentioned. My favourite camera, hands down, of all time, is the X100F. I love the X100 series.

The X100 series is generally more versatile. I'd hesitate to call it compact, in comparison to the X70 and XF10.
