Hi everyone,

I was cleaning my EOS R and EOS R5 and a question popped into my head. "Do current cameras now have required environment storage?" I searched for the manual for both EOS R and R5 and both manual only shows the operating environment but not the storage environment, or ideal environment. So my question is, can you now store cameras in low humidity or high (within the operating environment of the guidelines stated) without having to relubricate the mechanical parts or worry about humidity problems? If not what would be the ideal storage environment for my R and R5?

i keep my gear inside carrying bags i have for them! i pay close attention to the ambient temp. and humidity in the air in the summer/winter--especially coming home from outing when it is real cold outside in the winter and going inside while temp is in the 70f. this will definitely cause condensation if gear is not gradually exposed to warmer temp inside the house.

in the summer, if i go out on a shooting excursion, while the humidity is high, i try not to take my gear out of the bag when i come home and let them slowly get used to the inside cooler temp. luckily, my house has a dehumidifier built in for the whole house and keeps inside nice and dry   hope this helps, good luck.

if you look at God real close and for very long, you'll find defects!!!
