Re: I attached my G12 on a handlebar of a motorcycle and damaged shots

Thank you I2K4,

I have been trying various suggestions but unfortunately nothing has worked. reset, all the ISOs, all the apertures, etc. I haven't looked at the raw outputs just yet. surprisingly though, the video works fine!

As for the firmware, I haven't tried it yet. But I will very soon!

Thanks

Never owned it, and someone else may know. I have a couple of old cameras with no such problems. Can't guess at physical damage. I notice a slow 1/50 shutter, open f/2.8 aperture and 800 ISO which would be overexposed and noisy on any of my units, but haven't seen that horizontal effect. Only suggestion is to try exposing better, remove any custom JPEG output tweaks (I'd use Settings to reset everything to Canon default, do some exposure bracketing, and look at RAW output, too. Worth googling to see if there were reported issues years ago, or firmware is available online to reinstall.)
