Lightroom Freezes in New PC Build

interesting hardware possibilities

I thought the idea to check CPU temp was interesting.   I've seen some older PC's heat up under load and freeze, mostly because the thermal paste had long dried up and the fan was half-clogged with old lint.

But I've seen it more often with a failing power supply.   As soon as the draw goes up too much, something just stops everything, or sometimes reboots.

Video card issues too, but this doesn't sound like a good trigger.

I've not see hardly any RAM errors for ... decades really.  But I don't overclock them.

Still, with a new build, it seems more likely a software issue related to a driver, or possibly a corrupted cache.
