Hi all,

I use a D850 and I'm considering buying the Otus 28.

I have no concerns about the size, weight, and lack of AF, but I'd like to know if it's still the best 20-30mm lens on the market, by a margin big enough to justify its price tag.

I shoot 99% landscape and astro on the mountains.

Thanks!

If your heart is set on the Otus then by all means buy one!  I now own three Milvus lenses (15/2, 50/2, 135/2) and they are simply incredible. As you'll read along this thread you will see suggestions for other very good lenses but in the end it is what will make you happy.  Any chance you can rent one first?  The MF will definitely make you slow down and use your tripod more but if you can overcome this then you ought to get it and quit thinking about all the other lenses you 'might' like.  Good luck!
