you aren’t doing birding so think about do you really need so many mpxls

You can define more mpxls as more reach and you can define it as more detail. I don't need more detail, i just like it.   Less than 45Mp can be good enough, but I don't want to go back to 20Mp, as my heavy glass deserves a little better in my opinion. I don't expect Canon developing a new sensor within 3 years, so if 20 isn't enough and you want fast AF it's 45Mp or nothing.

If it's too expensive i can always wait longer. It will get more affordable over time anyway. You can talk about RF glass RF glass and RF glass, as that is the future, but at the end of the day that RF glass just needs a (future) 45Mp sensor behind it to make it really shine.

But if Canon gives us an R6 style body with R6 level of AF with 32Mp at a lower price point I will go for that one.  I just don't want to go back to 20Mp, and I do want that kind of AF.

As always there's a Canonesque kind of gap between the flagship model and the rest. Back in the day it was about AF-points, and nowadays it's about Mp.  So be it. Canon has to earn some money, they are usually charging those who want everything the most, and this time that's me included I'm afraid.
