I have the 70-200 f4 which Thom Hogan also writes about. I like it and so far haven't missed f2.8. I have wondered if I should have bought the FX version AF-P 70-300.

My way of looking at it with the 70-200mm is that i have had a while so already paid for and been used a bit so if i lose some money its not to big a problem
