Beautiful shot, Larry.

The old SD14 still shines.

It strikes me that in most of the photos from the US I see a very high percentage of dead conifers. It's a worrying trend that no-one seems to comment on.

You are right Vitee: We have had a serious problem with pine beetle infestations in lake parts of Colorado in the past few years that has devastated large stands of lodgepole pine trees.

Do you think if you shot the same location today that there would be more dead trees?

The area where this photo was taken has so far escaped the pine beetles and is still very healthy. I was up in that area last year and it was still beautiful. I will see if I have a image from last year and post later, maybe tomorrow on the weekend thread,

Below is on Kathleen took at Mayflower Gulch in 2019, which is located about 1/4 mile north of Clinton Reservoir,  Yo can see the pine forest is very good shape.  We have had a lot of fires in Colorado this year, but I don't think this area was affected.
